Hi again. Finished the campaign but sadly had to skip after completing "Seige" bombing. Dropped on altitude speed and line up. Hit some flak units but didn't get a bombs dropped confirmation and did not get a success rating. Kept calm and carried on, and went on to the night fighter mission which was fantasitc and worked well up to the final landing bearing call. Used my noggin turned onto finals and saw the flares clearing me to land. Engine was rough after the shootdown so I think a bit of the enemy plane must have hit my engine. It gave up the ghost on final approach adding to the drama. Feathered the prop and managed to get her down in one piece. Apart from the couple of teathing issues this is fantastic campaign. I absolutely become Dougie by the end. If you make another campaign I would be more than pleased if it was another Mossie series.

Hi there, I ran the mission twice and both times despite having followed every instruction and landing safely I got a fail. I released as soon as the signal cue was heard. I was at 4000 feet and 220 mph and on track. Followed the rest of the course and after the end ex message from the mustangs there was nothing else so I turned onto finals at 1,500 feet and landed. Might be a trigger missing somewhere? Tac View Track attached. Tacview-20250406-171039-DCS-MN-Gee-H Navigation Excercise.zip.acmi

To add to the other comments. It seemed to be any of the functions I had mapped onto my Thrustmaster warthop throttle. As well as throttles prop pitch etc I was unable to use the comms function as well. Another point. On the harbourmaster mission I got a pop up message that Flak units were was firing a couple of times. Despite these, absolutely loving the campaign. It is really immersive and looks amazing in VR with my Pimax Crystal running like a dream. Full marks matey.

I would like to point out that I did, read the brief carefully, but did not pick up on the base altitude. This is a new term to me, as, from my memory it has not appeared or been used in any of your, or other campaign creators literature or briefings in the past. I am not a military pilot so I am not familiar with this usage. I have flown DCS since it was LOMAC and have not come across it before. It may be a term used in multiplayer scenarios, but I have only played single-player missions and campaigns apart from one brief foray. No one has answered my other point about which Tacan radial I was to hold on. Is it Rovaniemi on 124X, Base on 122X, or a bearing from Bullseye (WP1)? I have read the briefing carefully a number of times but cannot find anything that confirms it. The main reason I enjoy campaigns with such detailed mission scenarios and briefings is to learn more about military flying. I have been flying flight sims both civilian and military since the early days of MSFS. I understand the need to read briefings and never skip them. I enjoy learning new skills and incorporating these into mission flying. Sometimes they get a bit rusty as there are a lot of platforms and modules to learn. I do not object to re-flying missions and I do not expect to ace every mission. As you point out, half the fun is honing skills and perfecting techniques once you figure out gaps in my knowledge or skill base. PS. Please don't read this as a rant.

Cheers mate I must have forgotten that bit. Put it down to advancing old age LOL. I will write 1,000 lines "I must pay more attention to the brief!".

Same issues. For radar I used TWS Hi interleave 2 band and 20 degree scan. Picked the lead group up. Got 2 Quails, one locked and the other mad dog launch. Might just try spamming all missiles next time. Slick got none. I chased after the remaining missiles using F10 directions but only got fleeting glimpses on radar. Eventually got signal to hold high. Wasn't sure if it was the 80 radial from Rovaniemi or Base. Assumed Base and assumed altitude base plus 5 meant Angels 20. Changed to Buzz on Pri and tac on Aux and nothing!. No mods enabled and easy comms off. Loving the scenery and atmosphere. In VR it is outstanding. Keep up the great work!

Oh , you tricky bastar- Mission 7
andygg replied to Blackhawk163's topic in DCS: AH-64D The Four Horsemen Campaign
I tend to find FCR is your friend. Mortars don't make their own way there LOL. -
Update: Mission ran fine with minor issue that Foggy typed in 133.5 instead of 133.6 for Widow 4. Anyone playing this make sure you have the freq's correct or you don't get JTAC instructions, 9 line, Fast Air support etc.
-
Hi there mate, Sorry for the slow reply but been busy as hell with work, family etc. Just ran it again and did what you said. Entered the four freq's manually and everything progressed as expected when Batman confirmed clearance and course details. Cheers mate. Really enjoyed this campaign in the pilots seat so going to try it, once airborne, from the CPG seat. I will buy your next campaign in a heartbeat, whether AH64 or other, as long as its not the Christen Eagle LOL. I will mark as solved.

Set all radio and datalink frequencies. confirmed ready for lift etc. Ugly 5.2 not even starting up. Pressed on anyway. The frequency changed for JTAC OK but no contact from him. I Flew around dealing out as much death as possible, but the enemy seemed indestructible and George couldn't hit a barn door. Some triggers not working maybe? Persevered, used up all of my ammo and limped home on one engine with engine 2 overspeed warning and everything red line. Shame, I was looking forward the finale mission. I still believe this to be an outstanding campaign if the last glitches can be sorted out. I did it this time from the pilot seat. I'm looking forward to having a go from CPG seat next.

Cheers, I took out the first mortar, and kept far to the north the AA popped up on FCR and I went evasive (might have red lined it LOL) took one hit but got away then got a message from Belly saying the AA had gone quiet so took out the second mortar with a rocket run. Everything else worked fine so moved forward to 11. That was insane, but that is another story. Amazing campaign. My tip for anyone playing this. FCR is your friend! Love the Banter! Ex RAF mate told me the tent in the room joke many years ago. Still made me laugh! The bit about the GPMG is so true! 6ft 3 so I got the honour in OTC days.

Mission 10 issue - spoiler alert! Hi all, Am finding this impossible to survive due to sniper AAA after the mortars problem is solved. Any thoughts? Overall, with the exception of the already reported glitches in Missions 2 and 8 I am loving this campaign! Cheers

[Bug] [2.9.5.55300] Gamecrash after Loading F-4E Cockpit
andygg replied to Dynamis's topic in Bugs & Problems
Hi there, I am having similar issues to this. After the cockpit has loaded I get a game crash notification pops up after about 15 seconds. Crash logs attached. NB I am still able to look around and click on switches after the crash notification but I cannot call up the Jester UI. I am able to call up the normal comms menu. Other modules are opening with no issues. Many thanks dcs.log-20240523-082019.zip dcs.log-20240523-002310.zip -
Amazing Campaign so far. Mission 4 scoring bug?
andygg replied to andygg's topic in DCS: P-51D Debden Eagles Campaign
I had landed safely and just got out to go and watch the others coming back (not many). I was a bit shaken after my mauling and landing on shredded left tyre. As a result my shut down procedures took a hit LOL. Finished the campaign with four A-A kills and about 45 ground. Loved the ending. Will definitely revisit this campaign soon. Looking forward to your next campaigns. -
