Just to talk...
I'm a professional Sound Engineer, i do it to earn a living and buy planes... ;-)
Since F14 has crazy reproduction of minor wear on surfaces let me observe that Jester overall sound is not on par. The recordings were made for sure with an hi performance microphone, much more powerful than the one in the helmet, so ! the frequency response in too wide to be realistic. Easy fix, a band pass filter to narrow it down to a more telephone like sound. Can be done with batch processing for larger amount of samples.
2, not as easy fixable as 1, i'm quite sure the voiceover was recorded in an untreated room of say 10 square meters, so not in a dead room/vocal booth or large "studio like" room. The effect is that when the excitement goes up Jester has early reflections and reverb of a house room. Is not in the plane. Hope il helps you super nerds.
