  1. Could anyone answer me these questions? Do I need to clear out all the X-52 bindings in the DCS options menu for the SST profile to work? Is there a "blank" BlackShark profile, I appreciate people sharing there own profiles but I would not mind starting from scratch. Is there even such a thing?
  2. Same problem but mine is even stranger. I bought BS2 (retail version) upgraded it to 1.1.1.1 and the Training and Mission missions just crashes when I try and play them. The strange thing is the Campaign missions work fine!!! Unplugged my X-52 PRO to see if that affected it (it dosnt) and it did the same in 1.1.1.0. XP 32 Bit Latest Nvidia drivers (260 GTX)
  3. This isn't going to happen either. If you want new and ultra modern, ED would have to guess how to simulate some of the systems as most of it will be classified. I don't think ED like to guess when they simulate.
  4. Right I am playing Black Shark on my 360 pad while I save my pennies for a HOTAS. I am genuinely surprised at how well it works, cyclic is the left thumb stick, triggers are the rudder and I am using the right thumb stick as the collective. Now everything works fine apart from the right stick collective. The problem is that it takes the absolute position of the stick so when the stick is in the middle it is at 50%. I also play Freespace 2 with the pad with basically the same flight controls, it allows me to set the throttle relative to the position of the stick. I can push the stick forward and it adds a few % to the throttle determined how far I push the stick forward or backwards. I would like this set up in Black Shark, where the collective power is determined relative to the starting position of the stick ie the middle. Anyone got any ideas? I can try to explain better if you are confused (I know I am by reading it back).
  5. I have done this mission many, many times due to being shot down by the stinger. I decided to take control of one of my unsuccessful tracks and after shooting down my wingman, the stinger missile for me very, very ,very luckily hit one of the flares I was shooting out. Unfortunately due to it being a track it would not let me progress to the next mission :( Has anyone figured out how to get the completely useless wingman to attack the troops doing the ambush? If there was a radio command to tell him to just crash into the ground it would save him a lot of time and effort because thats where he always ends up.
  6. Offline mode? Never had a problem playing a game when using offline mode.
  7. Thanks for the reply, I hope you do decide to sell through Steam at some point (hopefully soonish). I have been following BS for some time now and although my PC is too crap to run it that will change soon. I know some people on this forum dislike Steam but I can see very few disadvantages by putting it on there.
  8. Yeah there will be some hurdles but steam is so handy with automatic patches, I remember the days of having to hunt down patches so I could play on servers but now steam does the patching of all my games and most of the time I dont even notice it. I think Valve have said there are around 20 million steam accounts, the more exposure of BS the better.
  9. A steam version would be great, I really dont buy anything that is not on there. Black Shark would get more exposure and more $$$ coming in if it was on steam.
  10. I have got to the point where I wont buy anything unless it is on Steam. Steam is DRM but its a hellovalot more enticing to me than Starforce. Oh and I was without internet for 9 months last year and I played all of my games on Steam with the offline mode. You need to activate the product online once and then you can play it offline after that. To those people saying putting BS on steam would be a waste of time obviously dont have any understanding about business. I happened to find BS after one comment I found on a games forum, until that point I did not know BS existed. Having BS on Steam would immediately advertise the game to 15 million users. Lets not forget the auto update feature that keeps everyone up to date with the official releases. Anyways I am a big fan of Steam, even through the Steam beta I didnt have much trouble with it. Starforce is not the incarnation of Satan that some posters say but I dont like the way it operates and will not purchase anything that uses it. Unless BS comes out on Steam no sale for me :(
