We are a primarily an Air to Air, sim-focused squadron who emphasize coordination and improvement. We fly as part of the larger Task Force Trident group (TFT), which means participation in large operations with Airforce and Navy assets.
In our squadron, RIO’s are more than just radar operators- we are the brains and the mouths of the operation, making sure our pilots have the awareness they need to be effective. If you want to go beyond just radar management and fly with a group that will appreciate what you bring to the table, VF-31 would be a good fit for you.

Maps on 3 month rotation, currently flying Kola.
