I just returned an Asus vg278qr. The spec had it all on the paper: G-sync, 144hz, solid build, etc... However the image was very aggressive for the eyes and with very poor contrast ratio. The black colours weren't enough black, and the rest of the image didn't look right despite of the nice outside finish. The cockpits in DCS looked simple and without the realistic nuance set in the graphics of this sim. Browsing on windows was a pain for the eyes, specially on navigators... Not sure it's down to the model or TN base. But I'm definitely more careful when choosing the next one. Now I'm aiming for something more rich in colors and contrast... I'm not convinced that high FPS is important for DCS.
