Need some help, I am in the process of building a full simpit and need some feedback on a good aspect ratio and monitor size
Requirements:
Minimum 4 feet away from display
G-Sync enabled
Low Latency
Good visibility in daylight
Optimal FOV
Other technologies:
Projector
I am aware the best setup for maximizing FOV is using a projector but I would need a screen and it would also probably be inadequate for daylight gaming.
VR
I don't want to use a VR headset because I can't stand the screen door effect and they aren't high enough resolution for what I'd like to see
Current idea
1x 16:9 55" AW5520QF OLED center monitor
2x 16:9 34" OLED periphery monitors (rotated sideways to match height of 55")
Alternatives
1x 16:9 27" Center monitor
2x 21:9 32" AW3418DW periphery monitors
To my knowledge there aren't any gaming monitors larger than 55" but I have heard of TV's with a "game mode" but no G-Sync
I am leaning toward the 55" route because of the additional vertical FOV would appear lend itself to more situational awareness and immersion. I'm curious if anyone else is using this or a similar size and what your thoughts are on it
Thoughts or suggestions about these options or potentially better alternatives would be very helpful, thanks
