  1. Ok, thanks for the answer. Since I already have the basestations and controllers I think a vive pro 2 is a sensible upgrade versus reverb G2 that have a very small FOV and inside out tracking.
  2. I have a 5k plus and hate the SDE, blury image, bad blacks (forget night ops) and sucky performance. Will a vive pro 2 (I only need the HMD) give me crystal clear instruments and night ops (good blacks)? I have a 9900k and a 2080Ti
  3. Thanks. If ED also implement a "set ab detent" button...
  4. These are the only two military aircraft in existence that has a frameless buble canopy - why? Not even the brand new fifth gen F-35 has a frameless canopy  One of the most appreciated feature of the F-16 (from the pilots) are the exceptionally view and the frameless canopy. ?
  5. Not the F-16 in P3D since I can have aircraft/world sounds output to my 5.1 system and ATC output to my wireless headphones :) Wish I could do the same in DCS
  6. I have a large subwoofer directly under my seat and that works very well in Prepar3D using the F-16 regarding vibration/sounds :) So if the DCS F-16 will have low bass (rumbling) sounds it will work well in DCS to. My "seat" is a recaro car seat, and I have a custom built HOTAS cockpit.
  7. Thanks for the tip :)
  8. Another F-16 simulator..... has a "Set AB detent" in the options menu. Then we can position the throttle (axis) at desired position and click "Set AB detent". So, if I set my detent at...say 80% of my full throttle axis range (e.g. where my throttle physical detent acually are). The axis range between 81-100% is afterburner stages. Problem solved. (same for idle detent)
  9. Have you read all the comments in this thread? What about this: However, I do agree that we need louder engine/afterburner sounds in DCS than the video. I don't only wanna hear wind/buffeting/vibration sounds...and no engine/RPM sounds. We CAN hear the engine in the video, but it is very low. The engine/rpm sounds in DCS F-16C needs to be a little boosted compared to that video in my opinion. We can't go 101% realistic!!111!!!!
  10. I am the OP, and thank you for answering in this thread. You are probably as passionate as the rest of the developers and the DCS community to get the in-cockpit soundscape as real as possible. The Viper is a very special bird for many of us, and I hope real Viper pilots can consult ED with the in-cockpit soundscape. We all want the DCS F-16C to be really special and have a rich, realistic and powerful feel for the in-cockpit soundscape experience. Keep up the good work, and we are all looking forward to the fantastic soundscape the DCS Viper will produce when we roam the skies in DCS pulling 9G while we listen to the eargasm in-cockpit soundscape :)
  11. Thanks for confirming that. Now, if a DCS F-16C Viper devloper can jump in and say: "Sure, by setting a new benchmark for the F-16C block 50 we will (of cause) simulate the cockpit sounds as real as it gets. And that video is a very good reference." :)
  12. I primarily meant (by linking that youtube video) the length of the afterburner flame. But also the visibility/lightning/colors - the pure "raw power" effect.
  13. In DCS just tick "hear like in helmet" option under sounds
  14. This video is really good!
  15. Really? Ok. I hope they include an option for both eyes in the Viper.
  16. Ok, thanks. I can get it to render in both eyes with a checkbox or something (I am at work now)?
  17. Tested with a Pimax 5K+ with PP off. EDIT: It's not a bug...there is a dropdown in the Special Tab for the F/A-18C (options). I am unable to edit the thread title as [solved]. Thanks for the help guys.
  18. Hello, I see that a DTC is not mentioned in the "Planned F-16C Systems and Payloads" - I am just wondering if ED have commented on this?
  19. No, it's not just a 'normal' pre-order, it's a F-16 pre-order. I want to pre-order for many reasons, my main reason is to support ED and to motivate the development/developers. I would think that many early preorders will motivate ED and the development team, and it is an indication that the F-16 module will be very popular - and money to ED is a good thing for us all.
  20. It is very difficult to "hold my horses". I have been waiting for a VR enabled F-16 simulator for a loooong time. And now it is finally happening with ED and DCS. I want to support the company (ED) and the development of this module by preordering as fast as possible  Greetings from an old Falcon3 pilot :smilewink:
  21. Hello, I got a newletter saying that preorders of the F-16 starts today (22 May)...is this correct? I am really looking forward to the the F-16 in VR with my Pimax 5K+ i9-9900K and RTX 2080Ti But, when looking at the three screenshots in the newletter, the Viper HUD symbology seems pretty small. I hope there will not be any problems in reading the HUD symbology in VR. ED, I would prefer to be able the read the HUD symbology over 100% 1:1 realistic HUD symbology sizes...
