Afghanistan map, would be the better option than Iraq. Iraq is more or less the same as persian gulf. Afghanistan offers more than PG, Syria and Caucasus.
Afghanistan is more like a cross between Caucasus and the Persian Gulf. I wish they work on Afghanistan.-

Hi,
Not here to discuss BS3, other than the cosmetics updates will you be able to work on some non functional switches that can prove necessary and wont be controversial in any case IMO. For example the Colour Optic Filter Dial, this might make our Shkval see better in different weather conditions.
Secondly, if the wiper could really wipe off the rain droplets, cause when in rain, we really cant see through the windshield, even with the wipers ON.
Looking forward to hear from Ed black shark lovers/developers.

Would it be too much to request from all the Modders to maybe work on this for the A10 guys. This is a Photoshop image as an example of the TAD and not an actual MOD.
The idea behind this is to use the F10 map in the TAD instead of the current maps. The current maps are hard to understand and change when zoom in/out. We already have the F10 map available at different zoom levels, why not use that instead of the current maps that clutter things rather than helping.
The Ka50 Abris uses the F10 map, and i think this should be possible as well.If not already done and if you feel that this would help the A10 guys greatly and if doable, I request to all modders to please make us this MOD.

How long will the flight be, and what would be the take off time?
I have to leave for work at 1900 UTC, I would only have 50 minutes from 1800 UTC. Is that ok, or should I not participate?

Very sad news indeed, I flew with him briefly, and would love to be a part of this farewell formation flight.
Let me know when and where. I'll join in a ka50, if I am available.

This is my opinion and I maybe wrong.
The few numbers of Ka50 produced in real life and the role they played, and the variants pictures you see online, seems like, the Ka50 was actually a "guinea pig". Made and tested in the field and with various systems in such a short time, was actually to pave the way for the Ka52. First flight of the 50 was in 82, and the 52's was in 97, not too far apart arnt they?
No wonder we got the Ka50 in DCS.

Air-to-Air missiles hardpoint [LCtrl+U] on the collective hatswitch, NO FUNCTION at the moment. I was eagerly waiting for it to be functional. No worries, think good positive thoughts, who knows we might get them.

Its really sad to hear about BS3 not coming. Black Shark was always my favorite out of all the helis in dcs, from among the old ones and the new ones that are coming. I do not intend to get the hind and neither the Kiowa (not my cup of tea), will get the AH-64 though, but not too excited on flying a two seater.
I came to read about the BS3 here guys, so please create some noise, stay on the topic, who knows we might get more stuff for the Black Shark.What I expect from DCS for the future of Blackshark, and I would really appreciate if DCS developers read this.
1. Please, work on broken things.2. Is there a possibility to get the SHKVAL Optic Filter Dial working? At the moment it is set on NO FUNCTION. If you make it functional, we might see things better in various weather conditions.
3. The wind shield viper works, but does not animate washing away the rain drops. The rain drops blind us when in hover. (a $7 truck simulator animates that, then why not in DCS)
4. Interior lamps to work/change angle, like the one on JF-17.
5. No harm is getting Iglas, they are pretty old technology, I dont know which ones are on the Hind, but if the hind is gonna get A/A, then why not something for Black Shark.

Hi guys,
First of all I know this post should be in liveries chapter and not here. But the thing is that I posted it there couple of weeks back, and no one responded.
So i guess no harm in asking people here, I really like to find out, where can i find the dds files for the ka50 cockpit interior?
I needed to add some notes in the images, so that I can use them as ref while flying. It would be a great help if anyone can direct me.

I have a feeling in my waters that these images show the ground based test/training chopper used for evaluating the KA-52 systems.... but it is just a feeling in my waters.
I would love something like this in DCS... but more than likely BS3 will only have the basic president S defensive system, which I would be very happy with.
Why they had to do that, when they can make anyone sit in the actual cockpit and take the picture. Talking about the second picture, either the guy is a dwarf, or is a poor photoshop job. The guy sitting in the second picture is photoshoped, and is not to scale. lol.
Alas! Ed needs to hire more people to work on their projects. Its sad to hear that BS3 is on hold.

I wanted to work on some ka50 cockpit dds files, so that i may add some notes and stuff, that are readable inside the cockpit.
I cant seem to find the files, that I can work on. Does anyone know where they would be??

Well this is a problem on the surface, what about the some main function not working at all. "Acquiring nav targets through HMS", followed by Skhval and targeting reset button going haywire.
You tell me which is more important, lighting that we can adjust, or a major function that is broken??

This is a shame that no one from Ed is responding to this thread. Lights and other stuff does not matter, where this main feature is not functioning properly. This needs attention, please make some noise.

Hey I have made three of them, 1 x desert, 1 time snow and 1 x summer green
all digital camo, same as above, I have posted one on the dcs webpage, which needs approval prior to go public.
