Call me stupid, but i have looked for flaming cliffs 2.0 and cant find it, is it available for download online?

Try installing the latest drivers for your video card, that seemed to work for me, i had the same problem.

Sounds good, there is so much to do with this game is what makes it so much fun, i like messing around with the mission editor most of the time..

Well i have had fun playing this for a couple of nights and thought i would share, this is my first attempt at mission building in KA-50, i have done alot of other stuff for IL-2 at mission4today.com so i thought id give KA-50 a shot, anyway heres my first mission, hope you enjoy it, and leave me some pointers,tips, tricks if i left anything out. How do u get the cobra..etc enemy helis to take off from the carrier, i have took a LONG vacation from this game and know this can be done, but cant rem how. Link me to the answer if it is already here. Thanks!!!

LOL i spent all day yesterday just loading the game and tryin to get it work, i will never get those 12 hours back! lol.

Ok, its taken me all day long to install the game, honestly i believe everyone would be better off buying the retail version of the game at the store with a CD because of the countless number of times i have downloaded the data1.cab file and it give me the error 13 message. Now im afraid to run the patch, afraid it will mess the game up again, i have spent the whole day trying to install this game and i think its either the setup.exe or data1.cab files being corrupt, or the video card driver which caused the screen to turn white with no options available. Updated the video card drivers and finally got a setup.exe and data1.cab file that seemed to do what they were suspose to. buy this game on disc, thats the best advice i can give anyone.

Im always getting some kinda error, now i got error code 13, so im downloading the data1.cab file again, for the hundreth time. Im about to give up, if it wasnt such as awesome game i would have already! Which dll file are you talking about? and does it matter if you download the from the russian mirror site?

Honestly, i think the setup, and the data1 files are subject to bad dowloads. I have downloaded them all day long, sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. Is there a way to get a disc sent?

wow, been tryin all day to install this game, heres more info..windows 7 32 bit, 3 gb memory, nvidia 8500 gt, had the game installed, installed a fresh windows 7 last night because i kept gettin the blue screen of death, game worked and played fine on previous install, trying latest driver install for the video card now, and downloading setup and data1.cab file for the second time, got my fingers crossed..

Just done a fresh install (twice) and the start screen isnt appearing with options, inst action etc..any suggestions?

rong may be right for him, he may be somewhere else in the world, i always highlight the payload, then go up to the top and save the mission again just to make sure its there. Try that see if it works.

I wish the editor had a 3d view of the map so you can tell where you place the objects (like IL2-Sturmovik). Very nice FARP!

Exactly, i grew up on the old Atari 800XL with silent service, solo flight, etc then moved on to apache longbow and all those diffrent sims, the latest being IL2 Sturmovik which i have had alot of fun creating missions, and campaigns with the mission editor, i stumbled on DCS Black Shark while i was watching videos on youtube, found the website and took a risk at buying it, (need a demo), so yea i got a little excited about this game after i played it a few times and thought this would be a good place to ask some questions, (newbie questions.), i realize after i posted the questions that there is probably an answer here somewhere in these forums, just dont have time to look and took the easy way out buy starting a new thread, my mistake. I worked 121/2 hours today, so maybe i will be able to RTFM afterwhile, i doubt it. :book:

Well to be honest, i can take a little bashing about reading the manual etc, what really "pissed me off" was the fact that a moderator chimes in and makes it sould like i have a pirated copy of the game, moderators of forums have the responsibility of making everyone feel welcome and answering even the dumb newbie questions, whether they are asked once, or a dozen times, it doesnt matter, thats what a community forum is for.

Kinda afraid to now, i will just play and learn, thanks anyway! Yall can have to forum for bashing newbies when they come in and ask 'stupid repetitive questions' that seem to bother everybody, like a bunch of vultures waiting on the next roadkill to come along. Great game, too bad the forum isnt as good. Kinda makes me wish i had kept my 50 dollars and hacked the damn thing.

Well im off to bed, thanks for answering a couple of simple questions, i barely have time to play the game, much less RTFM. I have a vacation coming up in a couple of weeks so maybe i will get a chance to RTFM. I have a few R/C helis and have learned alot about them, my point being, there is a forum i visit on a regular basis and alot of people spend alot of money on these R/C helis and cant get them to fly for some of the simplest reasons, so i see alot of questions and try to answer them to the best of my knowledge, laughing the whole time at what a simple fix it is, but not telling them to RTFM. So what im trying to say is, i know where yall are coming from about reading the game instructions, but i would rather be playing the game with what little free time i do have.

Moderators should be a little nicer to the newbies that come into forums, and since your a moderator, go ahead and delete this thread so others wont see how rude you are.
