mouse and keyboard obviously, and Microsoft Sidewinder ff 2 but i tried disconnecting the joystick and this still happens...

Hello, first i have the russian version of the game patched to english, everything in the game runs great, except of the options menu, each time i enter the options the gui becomes VERY slow, it takes about 10 seconds to respond to any action i make... sometimes after i exit the options this happens in the main menu too, but most times the issue disappears when i exit the options menu... any thoughts?
