Source please. Because as far as I know they said that they will add HUD symbology later down the line for the F18. That seems to be the only HUD symbology.

Thank you that is a good answer from post 7, shame they didn't simulate it. When I was teaching my friend how to turn on the A10 he asked me that question when he turned on the plane without fliping that switch.
Also I just saw my initial post had typos. What I meant was that the engine turns on without ever using it.

Speaking of TGP they can't seem to implement the easy feature of seeing where it is pointing on the hud :D

Could you please for the love of god fix the damn range on TGP. I can visually see the island but with tgp its hasn't even drawn it in yet out of rendering range. At least add a option to increase TGP rendering range. I have looked around the forums and this seems to be a long time issue that you refuse to address. Which is a damn shame.
Every month I hope onto the A10C hoping that you have finally fixed it but still nothing.

Hello, Goal is to get MFCDs on my second monitor which is in Portrait mode. So Main Screen Landscape and second Portrait mode.
This is what my screen looks like.
Now the monitor on the left should be X 0 and Y0 But it is not.......
So basically nothing shows up on the left monitor Resolution is set to 3000x1920, on the left you can see the LUA file. Yes main view is on 0 although in theory it should be X1080.
Update: So I found out that if I set my left display to main IT work or if I move my left display on the right in display settings.... But that would be so stupid if I had to move it around each time I played DCS it already has a stupid amount of preparation needed.

Have you used the Radar in IRL. What if it kills frames IRL also.Viggen has had it for a couple of years lol - re A2G radar.Only one problem as soon as you turn it on it kills frame rates ridiculously so - the fact that ED havent attempted it yet does make me wonder if they know something we dont...

But but but F16 has the same cannon and they damage targets just fine. Why can't we get different ammo types. ED mods I DEMAND EXPLANATIONS.By the way, Hornet has M61A2 and not M61A1. Current damage is correct. This canon is known to be unable to damage armoured targets. -
If you're taxiing too fast the wheel will skid out and you'll stop turning. I'd check your speed before turning.

I want to know if I'm the only one who has this issue. Sometimes while taxing the hornet just stops turning. On mos other planes this never happens but with F18 it is a constant issue, is this just a bug or something ? NWS is on I even try turning with NWS HI I regain control of steering once I come to a complete stop.

F18 takeoff and landing procedure doesn't have disable NWS as part of it according to real hornet pilot the NWS should go into a different mode to minimize the issues but it is not implemented into DCS.

Stopping a tank with HE ammo is possible just blowing up the tracks or the driving wheel. You don't need AP ammo for that.
You have to consider that "killing a tank" is not always a catastrophic kill (that is, blowing up the tank) Most of the time you disable the tracks, sights, force the crew to run in panic...
Also a tank is not always a MBT. I really doubt a Hornet gun can do much against a modern MBT aside from blowing up some ERA panels. IFV and APC on the other hand...
yes need to kill the tank to take the airport in most multiplayer modes :D and HE wont cut it. I don't care about the philosophy of killing a tank, you can tell that to all other planes also and remove their special ammo that destroys tanks and stuff.
How about all the planes get the ammo they are supposed to have.

Do you have proof the US Navy used different ammo then is currently in the sim? If you do, or think you do, you should post here, or if it's a manual, just give us the reference and page number so you don't break rule 1.16.
Just because the Hornet could do something or fire something isn't enough, it has to be the US Navy specifically, the same way the AGM-65G's were removed, the Hornet can use them, but the US Navy didn't so it isn't in the sim.
We've seen ED make changes like that when proof has been shown, you could be the one that gets this change to happen.
Well first point being we are also a ground attack jet that means we should have ammo that actually do some damage. But sadly I can't find any info anywhere that specifiacally states what ammo Navy uses.
But you argument is irrelevant anyway since you can't find that info on F16 also and you can't find info that F18 only uses HE rounds so yeah. If the gun manufacturer clearly states it is compatible with all those ammo types then I don't see a reason why F18 should have less ammo types than F16, only reason I could think of is so players would buy both planes because that way they can offer features that other one doesn't have even though it should... So if they never decide to add it I think it would be because of greed.
There is literally no excuse oh its hard or any other reason that they can't make it for F18 because they have the same damn gun so all you gotta do it port the ammo over :D
Just so funny that hornets work is applicable to Viper so lets help Viper but not vice versa. That is the reason most F18 flyers are a bit angry rn.

So will we ever get more than 1 ammo type. I mean parallel dev sounds fun but so far we only see viper getting features that F18 should also have. They got like 5 different ammo types on release. And yes hornet doesn't have HE only it has more than 1 ammo types available to it.
Porting those ammos to hornet shouldn't be hard.

Got the A10C as well and I always use it to point the TGP, so yeah would love if they finally added that simple feature.
