Dude those are some AMAZING shots! That one of "JB" sucking water up off the bay there is money! Looks like you were standing on a highway? Whats your camera and what type of glass are you using?

 

Thanks for the comments! Camera is a Cannon 5D, and most shots were taken with EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM.

 

Lcdr Craig Olson is the pilot now flying #6 I believe? New plane is #163130, was an Agressor from the VMFAT-101.

As someone who will never see the combat side of any of these jets, I would much rather watch a Suhkoi or a Mig. That performance was just very boring IMO, but they do get some nice vapor going in some of those moves.

I would be curious to see the outcome if we just swapped sides? Mission felt a bit weighted on blue side.

Maybe this mission can be cycled through again in the future.

well as this is the 1st "trial" mission I'm up for w/e, but as many have already stated,they are not flying the planes they would normally enjoy flying (I have flown Mig/Su since the game first came out, but am slotted as a ground pounder which I never do online because my sqd is blue side and only get 15's), and for the sake of other enjoyable missions in the future it would be nice to give both sides the option to fly what they like. No matter what you do this will not be a realistic encounter because the majority of the participants aren't trained in real military strategies or tactics so you are left with trying to make it fun and as even as possible.....or it will not last more than once or twice.

They only true imbalance is A-10 for US only and 33 for RU only, everything else can be played on both sides with any concievable story to go along with it.

[How to land in pairs?]

Just stay on the glideslope & your side of the runway & if he's in your wing & your flight he should land with you every time.

 

Its all in the approach. If you fly the AI landing approach (speed, alt. and sink rate) he will land with you.
