  1. We're re-creating the style and excitment of the great sims made in the 90s made popular by Origin and Microprose.

I love sims that tell a story, like Wings of Glory and Strike Commander, where a world exists beyond the confines of the cockpit. Missions need more context and purpose than a wall of text presented just before the mission starts. They need a home base that oozes atmosphere, filled with characters and stories that immerse you in the world. You should personally know your wingmen and feel bad when they die. Modern sims lack the human touch, they are all avionics, physics, faceless AI and robotic missions with no heart.

  2. THE biggest reason to spend the money on TrackIR instead of Freetrack is the software that comes with it. It's so configurable you can make the precision tighter only when you look at the cockpit consoles... play with it some you won't regret it.

 Freetrack software has custom center control (not just vanilla center), individual axis hotkeys and scalable sensitivity when zooming, which TrackIR software does not have...

  3. It's no secret they seed forums, they do so explicitly under company name and indirectly through third parties like Dyslexi. Implicit seeding is a natural continuation of that trend, they would be stupid not to.

    Where's my tinfoil hat?

    Here it is.

Maybe the same types of comments keep popping up because of the simple reason that it works... and works well?

It's nice to know that seeding works for you.

That it really does add a new dimension to flight-simming?

Oh, you meant head tracking, but more specifically TIR of course.

    y'know, sometimes the simplest answer.....

... that you're a seeder? Lol. Sorry, but that's the simplest answer that pops into my mind when looking at all the TIR testimonials you've made. =)

  4. TrackIR is the original, is natively supported by our sims, and works the best out of the three available options IMHO. Check each of the web sites for these products read and dig deep and I am fairly certain you will come to this conclusion. If you can afford it the TIR 4/5 is second to none. If not then take your pick of the two lesser alternatives. They are not as good as TIR but they are clearly decent free/low cost alternatives. If nothing else these will help you decide whether or not to invest in a TIR unit down the road if the alternatives do not meet with your expectations but the head tracking concept does.

I think you will like it very much.

    Out

coder1024 got it 100% correct but ED will never agree because they are in contract with TIR. Polecat's argument is like saying you need to have a Ferrari to drive to work and anything else is only good for testing the concept of having a car to drive to work, before purchasing the Ferrari.
