  1. :doh:Thanks guys, i can give my poor Enter button a rest now.
  2. Damn! I thought it worked on infrared, so how can people do missions at night? Do they use unguided cannons and rockets only?
  3. You mean it won't lock on in the dark!? It was dark yeah, but i didn't think that would matter?
  4. I'm doing the Shooting range mission, i take off, travel to range and shoot some trucks up...yay :D Then i return to base for refuel and a default payload (f6), i return to the range and can't Acquire Target, the targeting system just won't lock on to anything  Could someone take a look to see if i've done anything wrong? Shoot range can't get TA.trk
  5. Thanks Jack, I found the light switch, hiding behind the cyclic, I've now managed to complete the mission 26%, It's a shame there's no 'repair' option for the maintenance crew, what do you do if your choppers damaged but you've landed at home base and want to complete the mission, is it ok to use the rcover option for a new chopper?....I want to fix the one I got though!? I also rearmed and went back to the range, things were fine i was shooting up trucks, then suddenly it started firing short even though my vkhir sight was on a target, i tried resetting everything but the same happened, I flicked the vkhr switch off (the far left switch next the helmet switch) that was fun! the chopper went haywire.
  6. I'm cutting my teeth on Shooting Range mission, but have a few problems. 1. How do i complete the mission? i take off, i goto Range, i destroy some targets, mission completion says 0%, i return to runway and land at night, i manage to land on the runway, and as i touch down and taxi. all the power dies, lights and instrruments off, blades and engines still turning, i fumble around and find the battery switches are off so i re enable them, weird. 2. are there any headlights on the chopper? it's pitch black and i can't see anything in front or to the sides of me, i taxi using the abris map hoping theres nothing in front of me. 3. upon quitting the mission and going to debriefing it tells me that all the targets i hit were buildings, when they were clearly tanks and trucks?? :joystick:
  7. Doh! It was the EEG Gas Test switch....lol, i wondered what that was for.
  8. thanks for the feedback nemises, it must have been lack of power.....i did have both the rotor motors on, and then i shutdown the apu, then tried to take off, it wasn't going anywhere so i turned the apu engine back on and tried to lift off again, but got the same result (acted like i was too heavy or something was dragging me down)?
  9. When i ask ground crew for nvg, they fit it even though the switch for it is activated, from then on it messes up, if i press 'h' the switch moves but without the clicking noise, if i press the switch with the mouse it sometimes inverts the functionality, like on actually turns the sight/nvg off and vice versa, then it suddenly dissappears and i have no helemt function at all, even if i ask the ground crew to reinstall it, i get nothing! Then i try to take off, and the ground crew shouts "hey what you doing", and the chopper acts like there's a cable attached and refuses to lift off and comes crashing back down, even though there is no ground power on!? I couldn't see if anything was attached as it was night time. These problems don't seem to happen when first starting a mission but only when i use the recover option? Then there's the problem of not being able to see the controls when it's night, in order to turn the switches on to get the lights working, i had to search for the key commands to enable the ground power switches. The pilot needs a flashlight!
