Are you confused with?

First time I try to run the game, only multiplayer was capable to run; After the first uninstall only the first menu (helli with all the options) appears and the second menu is accessible, nothing more except the logbook. No! I've a Saytek joy, a Cyborg force. I have tried both, the P key and the Pause|Break too. No, no esc key used. When the windows warning vanish (pressing the OK buttonI)the sim itself return to the first menu again, and if we try to run it initiate a loop process. Catalyst AI is inactive. I've tried 8.12 w/ no changing. Well, you can be right, but at the moment I have all my drivers ok and only this simulation gave this kind of problems. There are something strange... Why, in the second attempt to run the sim, all goes well till the menu where it was necessary to press the pause key when no key would be recognized by the program? It was nice if a solution was provided, because I'm not the only with this kind of problems.
