Thanks man I have decided to reformat and start all over again. Normally it's anually and I just did it 2 months ago but what the hey. I appreciate all the help here, hopefully when I get this game running again and learn how to fly I'll see some of you in multiplayer.

It ran fine for the first 2 weeks thats what is so strange. The runtime error just appeared and now it's in this black hole

I have not been able to get the app running at all since the attempt at re-installing the game ( to try and fix the problem) so there are no .crash files at all. Also ATI Catalyst AI is diabled and still no go. I even set the graphics card to mostly defaults with no O/C at all. I am stumped :helpsmilie:

I appreciate the response I have attached my latest DXDiag file plus one of the error files that might shed some light on this problem. I havn't done any new AA/AF settings or any new overclocking since I started the game. I use a Logitech wingman and a Logitech cordless mouse and a G15 KB. As far as other software running in the backround I don't think there is anything. I am using Comodo and DCS was in a file of untrusted apps but clearing that made no difference. I had uninstalled the game and tried a fresh install but that didn't work either. I am one of those struck down with the game no longer running. I installed it about 4 weeks ago and from the start it ran like a champ. I was looking forward to learning what I have read is a very good flight sim. But now sadly it stopped launching about a week ago and no matter what I do it will not start. The runtime error is how it began and now I just get the DCS start window and then it stops the launch abruptly after 1 or 2 secs. [Run Time Error C:/program files/Eagle Dynamics/KA50/bin/stable/luancher.exe This application has requested the run time to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applicatioons support for more info I had a response from tech support in a timely fashion but none of their suggestions work and nothing here in these forums has resulted in this game running again.] I don't even get this anymore I have done all the obvious things ( drivers etc) and tried all suggestions here on this forum that I can find.Also tech support did make 4 suggestions none of which worked. I run an AMD 5600+ on an ASUS M2N-SLI mobo, 4 GB of good RAM, XP pro SP3, an ATI 4870 and a raid HDD setup for 300 GB. I hope the tech support will come up with a fix soon as I fear I will be gone soon:( Any suggestions that are new are welcome . Oh btw the multiplayer launches and I can get to the main selection screen ( which is in a window)but it doesn't allow me to actually connect and play. Sorry for the novel
