Hawkeye, I have never done this, but I assume your referring the the entry.lua in the F22a folder? I opened that up, changed the line with the one you posted, and changed the name from f3d_skynight to F-22a. I did not see or find any references to any dll in the whole page. I saved it, then loaded the game and still wont put me in the cockpit. I do have the F-22a folder in my saved games/mods folder.

I have the grinnelli F-22a installed. I was working about 10 months ago. I tried to fly it today and its not working. I looked around and found a bunch of people saying the fc3 files are locked now so any 3rd party aircraft requiring the flaming cliffs dlc to work, (VSN, F22, F35, etc wont work now. Is that true, or is there a fix? Thanks.

Im sure its update related, but I have speed course missions I have made and the gates do not seem to be working anymore. When I fly through them they are supposed to turn white and the next gate will enlarge. But now nothing happens. No clue as to what was changed to make that happen. I have multiple of the same mission just with different jets and same for all of them. Also I had the Grinelli F-22 mod installed and working and now that doesnt work anymore either. Its not putting me in the cockpit when I select start. Just outside view. Any Ideas on what was changed in previous updates. Its been about 4 months since I have played.

I have Enemy AA fire set up and seems to work fine in the daytime, but at night they do not shoot. Do they not shoot at targets at night?

What is up with the replay system. Sometimes it works, sometimes Its way off. For instance, I fly in VR and then try to record after with the track. I will fly in VR, blow up a airport by the shore of the ocean, and then when I play it back, my jet attacks the ocean, and is way off original course. Seems like its not doing to well at keeping your track at all. I have seen this happening for a while now. Does flying in VR mess it up, I don't get it. Will it ever be fixed?

This Course Starts with long high speed checkpoints, and 3 F-18 Fighters coming at you in a head on. They are at 1000 ft and are pretty easy to avoid (just thought I would throw in some eye candy) getting closer and closer as you travel up the River to the Hoover Dam, as the turns get closer and you get slower, you will have to start "Sliding" around some of the curves. Eventually reaching the damn, and flying up over and around to begin the Las Vegas run. Fly through valleys, small mountains, to blasting over residential neighborhoods at 100 Ft, then a Pass through the city, and finally fly through or land for the final checkpoint on the runway, In this video I will be blasting through the final check point as I'm doing a time trial. Time Starts at First Gate and ends at Runway Gate. My time is approximately 9:58 with the F-15 in this video. Here is a link to my demo You can download the mission file from here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/7f1/Hoover%20damn_Las%20Vegas%20run_F-15_S.miz Install to your Users/Username/Saved Games/DCS/Missions

This course is high speed, low speed, has obstacles and will really let you get the feel of your plane. 179 Gates to fly through. Aircraft carriers in the ocean with flying F-18's above the course. 90% of the gates are below 300ft. At the end are 2 sets of steel triangles to fly through. Take off from runway, run the course and land for the final gate. This will not be easy as with any track or course, there are going to be spots that will throw you off until you learn it. Its about speed and angle. I would have to say that this will be hard for most, but fly it slow until you get used to it. This is a good trainer for all pilots. When mission starts, press RShift + R and RShift + N if you want to remove the warning sounds. F-15 flies very well in this. First Demo is mostly cockpit view Skin used in recording is UN Spacy VF-1J Vermilion Leader from the Macross/Robotech VF-1 Livery Pack 2 (V2) for DCS World/Flaming Cliffs 3 Second demo is a different flight and more action shots, less cockpit.

I believe they are cranes used to lift the cargo containers off the ships. Here is the YouTube Vid of my Demo. Take off from runway, run the course and land for the final gate. F-16 High speed/obstacle/training course
blkbeltolson replied to blkbeltolson's topic in Missions and Campaigns
No prob, I hope it doesnt turn out to be too confusing. I wanted to make the gates different colors for different sections but no one was able to help or tell me how to do it. -
Just uploaded last night, waiting approval. I've spent weeks on this and feel its as good as I'm gonna get it as im very limited with the editor. This run takes me around 11 minutes of pure concentration. Hope im posting this in the right section. Anyway here is a mostly cockpit view of my flying the course the way I do it. This course will test your ability to judge speed and angles into turns. This will be hard for most people but fun when you master it. Faster you go, Harder it is. Aircraft carriers out in the ocean with 10 F-18's flying above the course. For most of this course you will be under 300 ft. At the end are long stretches of cranes used to lift cargo containers off ships I believe. At the top of the cranes are Triangles that you must fly through for around 8 seconds without hitting anything. Hard to explain, better to watch :) I'm also working on another one called The Hoover Dam/Las Vegas run.

Hey guys, I just built a new PC and I have transfered what I thought was everything. All my missions are in, everything seems great except for my settings for my flightstick and throttle are not working, its at default. I copied the DCS and the DCS.openbeta, from the saved games folder. and main DCS folder from Steam. I did find the input folder and the planes are in there. Are the settings saved somewhere else? Edit: I was wrong, planes are in the savedgames dcs config input directory. Wonder why they dont work. -
Ok, thanks. Time to upgrade then. Any suggestions on what to get for cpu? I probably need to build a new pc. Doesnt changing MB and CPU void windows Activation?

Still getting 20 fps with a rift s. And that is only One LCD screen. AMD FX 8350 GeForce 1070 16 Gig Ram 1 TB SSD drive.

LOL, didnt realize this was such a hard question. Is there a manual for the editor? Anyone know that question?

Helper gates? Is the color pallet in the Trigger properties for changing gate colors? Anyone know how to do it? I select a different color to test it, but doesnt seem to work.

f-16 Persian Gulf High Speed / Obstacle course
blkbeltolson replied to blkbeltolson's topic in Mission Editor
I've never scripted anything so I'm worthless with any of that. Ive tried opening up the "River run" Mission for the Hornet to see how they did it, but I don't understand any of it. No I havent looked for other Races, or time trials. Guess its just gonna be what it is. I will search the forums for other answers. Thanks -
f-16 Persian Gulf High Speed / Obstacle course

Here is what I have so far, still working on arranging gates. https://youtu.be/aFLP454-0aw -
Hey guys, I'm attempting to make a course running through and around the city of Dubai. I already have over 200 Gates. This is for more advanced type flying even though if you go through it slow its not too hard but the point is to push it to the limit. Anyway. I'm getting close but I don't know what the editor is capable of. 1. Is there a way to change the gate colors. Can I make each section a different color so it's less confusing on someone's first try? If so, how do I go about picking gate color. I have the gates assigned to a particular Unit. 2. Is there a way I could have multiple Jets fly at the same time? More like a Race Style Course? Like if you wanted to race your friend and he had a F/A 18. I do have a hornet in the mission, but not set up yet. 3. Is it possible to drop way points, or navigation gates while actually flying? Its hard to place gates where I want them looking down in sat view. Can Satellite view view horizontally? I like to fly low and in between buildings but hard to tell their height from looking down in editor. 4. How can I make the first gate start a timer and the last gate End the timer? So that all gates must be completed in order? Thanks for any help. I think alot of people may like this.
