:joystick: TrackIR seems promising but I am already 50% in for an ultrawide for work, and I was hoping that DCS would help justify the rest. I don't know if the extra side real estate of ultrawide helps you see your buddy in echelon formation while view is centered (without needing trackir) I'm definitely in for VR, but this thread is for a second PC. Can't justify buying a second reverb and all the necessary hardware to run it. :) This set up just needs to work "for now" / LAN. I hear the reverb is the go to for VR currently, and I hear its clarity is more than good enough (with 2080ti). The reverb I ordered comes in this weekend, so we'll see.

New to DCS, but formation flying sounds quite appealing and may help justify an UW purchase (without trackir.. but contemplating this as well.)

Ah, I didn't mean better than the pro, but better than Rev 1 / Version 1. I've heard of the issues and recent HP fixes, and I hope that the consumer one shares in these fixes. Thanks for the advice on PD! I'm assuming 150% SS brings it pretty close to native res?

That's what I figured.. I would hope it had a usual range of cores that it picked (let's say usually 0-3 vs 4-7). SFFPC requires more thermal consideration than matx/atx with radiators, so if I can get away with not doing all core, I can push a bit more frequency.

I bought the consumer one so hopefully it includes some better internals, as well as the clip for the connector. *edit: haha, fan indeed. I'm assuming you're also hitting ~45FPS with your setup? Is it jarring at all?

@ 7:20 he is able to put these over glasses and doesn't mention anything. Where did you order your lens inserts? I too haven't wrapped my head around what reprojection is. But my reverb is still in the mail.

Current shopping cart looks like: 9700K 2080TI EVGA Black Reverb Does DCS use more than 16GB in multiplayer? Will having 16GB cause stuttering (going back and forth to the SSD for memory)? I already have 16GB 3200 from my last build and after doubling my initial budget, I want to try and keep some of my sanity. My case and cooling solution won't allow for a 9900K, plus I've seen a few members disable HT on their 9900k's. Which cores (0-7) does DCS use? I'd like to push only a few cores to 5.1 or 5.2 since my SFFPC cooling is limited. Very new to DCS and VR, but lots of digging over the past month has brought me to this point. A bit of searching through the Reverb thread didn't give me the answers I was seeking.
