I'm reluctant to trash other people's choices , but since you asked...
In my opinion (and experience) the X-52/Pro is garbage . The original Saitek-manufactured units were good and provided good service for years , but since then the brand has changed hands at least twice and quality has gone massively downhill . Those lovely rotaries , mouse stick and slider are all pretty much useless , as potentiometer jitter makes them impossible to use as axes . Likewise the buttons/hat switches are of very poor quality , with no "clicky" action , and a high failure rate .
The CH Hotas is a much better option for long-term reliability in the same price range , and the Thrustmaster T-1600 , with which i personally have little experience ( I did purchase a version for the grand-boys playstation ) is highly regarded , and priced far less , albeit with the caveat of having fewer hats/buttons .
Doubtless , someone will be along who disagrees with all of this , but the post is based on my personal experience , and written solely for the purpose of forestalling your disappointment .
Thank you, this is exactly the kind of advise I want before spending $$ on these gear
. Any other advise is welcome

Hello
(Sorry if I’m in the wrong forum)
Having a Logitech 3D extreme Pro , I want a more enjoyable HOTAS flight control
X56 is not available anymore
So, X52 pro or regular X52? Does it worth the price difference?
As the Thrustmaster Warthdog, although highly desirable...very very pricy
I am a DCS beginning (about 10h) with mostly F-18
Or if you have a viable alternative (new, and in the same price range)
Thanks

I ended up getting permission from the boss, so I'm waiting on delivery of 3600 with 5700xt.
I went with x570 as I decided with the money I was spending, an extra $70aud was worth it...i think in USA the b450 is heeeeaps cheaper though, in which case the b450 tomahawk max (emphasis on the max - there are two versions) is supposedy the best board on a budget
x570 gets you pci4 which is largely useless in todays world..but it may give you a better upgrade path in say 3 years if you update your GPU.
if you get the 5700xt, dont get the aus tuf gaming...its a lemon. I got choices down to the gigabyte gaming OC (which i bought) and the red devil.
if you're not in a rush, I should get my bits next week (They are stuffing me around...sigh)
Finally, I bought my kit ( aerus B450 pro with WiFi, 16gb ram, MSI RX5700XT evoke)
Built it ;)
Installed driver
Downloaded the DCS !! Ready to learn !
I started it this morning and wow, the graphics are fantastic!
So now, have to begin the very slow learning process hahahaha
Thank you all :)

Hello, I am new to DCS and will build a PC
I am from Mac world :)
I want to run DCS and probably other flight sim.
So, my thoughts are for a Ryzen 5 3600, ssd, for GPU : RX5700XT or RXT2060Super?
(Other alternatives? I want a nice good experience)
Nvidia or AMD? Am so confused with all those reviews etc...want to know from real user
Will also get a 1440p monitor . As I understand it, FreeSync is pretty commun...if Nvidia, G-Sync seems to be scarce and expensive...am I right ?
Motherboard...X570? Ot à X470? Or à B450? Does it matter ?
Thanks
P.s. first post here, hope it is ok in this thread...if not, I will gladly post it in the correct tread/forum
X52 Pro or X52 ?

And how and where can we get the CH? All I see is « vendors » who are trying to sell it to twice (at least) the real value :(
