Hi, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if you guys are working on it yet, but I have serious reason to believe that the AIM120C performance is no where near what it is in real life. I did some testing and when fired at an aircraft 5nm ahead with a cold aspect, same speed, the AMRAM almost never hits if the target maneuvers at all. The AMRAM hits only about half the times if the target barely maneuvers at all! These missiles should have a much, much, much farther range. How do you expect a phoenix to hit a maneuvering fighter a/c target at 40+nmi and an SD-10 reach some stupid high mach, but the MUCH MUCH more high tech AIM120-C have a probability of a hit around 20% within 10nmi. It just does not make sense. The US Navy would just pack their bags and quit if this were the truth. There is no logical way this is even close to realistic. Please, please, check your R&D, and please fix this debilitating issue soon. Its very annoying, and is one of the reasons that I can barely fly the F-18C anymore.
Please keep in touch on this issue. I know a lot of people have been having the same issue, whether they decided to report it or not. Thank you very much. I look forward to seeing a meaningful fix.
