EtherealN...you have misunderstood the posts that i made(in which you have painstakinly quoted).i think you are taking too much of what i posted literally.i was being sarcastic,not claiming to associate fps with creating anything.i do not however think that you have "repremanded" the orginal poster that started my sarcastic posts in the first place.look up the orginal post in which my video card was called quote"shit".so you still think someone was just "helping" me by saying this?very un-tactful in my opinion.

i'm cool,Spider...this isn't an attack on anyone.let's just play the sim and not worry about system specs.i got a good idea that this forum isn't about defaming,but about knowledge.so if someone has a great rig,but cannot play the sim properly,that there is some other interference that is causing problems.and,i am by no means an expert on what causes this,and,i can offer no help.i will leave this to the professionals here.as i'm sure i will run into problems myself and will need the guidance of the said personnel.i haven't delved into the mods for this yet(except for a couple of downloadable missions).so far,i have been subjected to nothing but very pleasing results.and i am not an expert in anything about this sim.i'm a greenhorn here and i mean absolutely no dissrespect to anyone.i will learn to understand the posts that i reply to,as others will mine.

and no,i don't take it personnally....i just made an observation of what some have posted about fps and their system.i didn't put down any system specs for those that have problems with what they are running.i simply stated that i can run it smoothly on what i have.sometimes the simplest way can be best for the few that think that "upgrading" is the best way to go.having fun in a sim is not about what your system specs are,but is about if your comp can run it,to the point of playing it.upgrades are good if you are having trouble even getting above 10fps.i just think that if people believe that they have to run it at 80fps,just to post good screenshots or vids on the site,then they are missing the point of the whole idea of the sim.it's about having fun!i could care less if someone has better pics or tracks than me,i just want to enjoy what i'm seeing,and let my senses do the rest.it's not about competition.that cannot be what ED intended.it's just system specs people.what does it matter if someone posts that they can run it on less than you have.i guess,in my experience,in reading posts that SOMETIMES tweeking this and that leads to problems.be happy with what you have,and,if you have the means to upgrade,then by all means do so.just an observation....i've seen this before at combatace.com(an AWESOME SITE)about the WOX series.just play people,just play.

nvidia control panel gives me great options,and,i'm pleased.i bought this computer from Masonic Brother,and maybe its not "sexy" like the mutant rigs out there,but,for $150.00 bucks,i cannot complain!i run good fps and no hitching.....just have to learn this sim first,and any upgrades will come later.for now i'm very happy.now....if the "POWERS THAT BE"will get dsl into my area(runs like crap on dail-up...YEESH....)i'll be able to get online with my brother in Texas.alas,still wishing.....

this info is really interesting.i "see" alot of you run way...WAY better systems than me!however,i can run BlackShark wide open(everything maxed out) with winxp x64,nvidia 8400gs 512mb card,2.05gb ram,2.4ghz proc.(yep 2.4ghz)....lots of explosions slow down frame rate,but nothing else does....hmmm.i guess i'm just happy...poor,but,happy none the less!I love this sim!COMPLETELY ADDICTING! the "poor mans guide to having fun!"....strange....in a strange way....strangely....?????

i've got a problem with the blades making contact while trying to trim to controlled flight.warnings go off,then i see parts of the rotors flyin' off from cockpit view! am i "over-trimming"? i can see the blades on the port side of the 'Shark almost intersecting....Wow! Great realism!...MAN I LOVE THIS SIM! i'm having a blast just trying to keep this great helo in the air! KUDOS to the ED team!

hey,thanks for all your help,i really appreciate it.i got it figured out!YEAH!i sent my error log(s) to tech support at Eagle Dynamics and was sent a singleplayer.bat file that was missing(albiet vague as to where i was supposed to put it!)so i experimented.dbl clicked icon a few times while placing the file in diff. locations and finally recieved an error about missing blackshark.lua file,so i copied from MP directory and placed in SP properties and BLAMMO...i hear music,sim runs up and i'm off and runnin' smooth!Thanks Again....btw this is a very informative forum and i think i will be here for a long time! P.S. i had to rename launcher.exe to launcher--console.exe

man,i wish i knew what to do about not being able to start singleplayer.i can fly fine on MP. error file always states:autoexec.cfg doesn't exist in config folder.i'm looking right at it! i updated to 2.05gb of ram,then uninstalled previous BS,re-installed BS,restarted,updated to 1.0.1a,restarted,still nothing on single player. i looked in stable and dbl clicked launcher.exe,same for DCS.exe,nothing.doesn't even show up in task manager. i'm lost,frustrated,tired,and out of patience.kinda thinking i wasted money. all files in stable shortcut icon properties/target are .dll files(with the exception of the .exe files) all major folders and files are in MP properties/target if it runs smooth as silk in MP,then it should't have a problem in SP!:cry:
