Hey Pikey. I started our warbirds from the ground up about a year ago in our discord group. We fly US time zones. What I have been building for our community has been a PvE/PvP community. I built out and maintain our Normandy mission while another member has built and maintains our channel mission. Both servers run 24/7. Each mission has a lot of objectives to tackle and can be done by yourself or with a group. We have built maps that are truly dynamic in the sense that AI fighters may never be in the same place twice so you never know if you will get jumped when targeting ground units, etc. Our maps have bombers, boats, train stations, armor, ,etc for ground targets. AI planes are present but not overwhelming so you can enjoy and this way when the server gets busy with actual players, there is still stuff to do if you want to stay away from other people. We often get together and fly missions. Example, we get together in discord or SRS and say we are going to go after the ships, or an airfield, or armor,, etc. We coordinate as a group and hit the objective. Sometimes we have random people in the server that will be flying around and may try to intercept us or maybe a dicord member wants to fly against the group. It works out well. 

I also host missions every Friday night 730pm central US time. These missions are usually PvE (sometimes PvP - but mostly PvE) in which I design a mission that has an overall objective. Some of these missions are ground attack heavy, some are A2A heavy , and some are a mix ob both A2A and A2G. Feel free to check it out. Always looking for more warbird players. When I started this it was just me and then I got a couple of our jet guys  to fly and have slowly built this up to the point where we have multiple maps and have had upwards of 15 people flying warbird mission nights.
