Which Aim54?
54A, probably right against human controlled fighters.
54C, maybe wrong, but 60nm is probably way too long, try 30 or less.

Yeah I think cause the C Aim-54 used to be part amraam modelled it’s definitely changed just got to adapt to it

Is it just me or are the Aim-54 useless jester breaks lock immediately after 30-40 seconds of launch and then they miss at only 60nm range which isn’t that bad where they used to almost always hit also they only work and I only get kills and almost within visual range like either my game is messed up or they don’t work or I don’t know how to use them.

Antenna is set to scan from angels 25 to 8, the hostile is on angels 21 and it doesn't pick him up, while the friendly on angels 20 is picked up.
Was gonna report it too but couldn't get the track file, it happened more than once and with any type of plane.
I’m going to try some more testing in a little to confirm but I’ve seen this for so long. We’ll see if I’m dumb or not

What's your antenna elevation set to while searching for the targets?
Same altitude as the target

So I set up a little mission with bombs and enemy aircraft. I destroy the ground targets but the air targets that are usually right in front of me do not show up and I have no ability to find them on radar even if they are within 10 nm. I don’t know if this is common or a huge error but I’ve been having it for a while and think it’s worth reporting.

First and foremost the guidence logic and active commands. Loft and PN guidence also need some improvements.
I never understood what does like Aim-7 loft mode mean compared to the other what does it do

So how’s the backseater going to work without an AI? I mean I’ve heard you can fly it without a back seater

Hi guys, I will answer some of the more prominent questions in bullet points if you allow:
- there won't be CBGs or any other ships with the Forrestal. The initial plan was to do all 4 carriers of the Forrestal class, for starters it will be Forrestal only however. Beyond that we do not want to promise anything for now, but there are definitely no other ships planned. (not sure where this assumption is coming from)
- A pilot body is part of EA completion, yes. Please understand that due to animations, etc our pilot body takes a bit longer, hence it is still WIP.
- In general items of the Q1 update are still in works, even if not listed for this quick near-term update, so no need to be afraid that they got tossed.
- We are currently working with ED on the phoenix issue, however, we too need to give ED the time to finalize their own missile work. As you can see they just updated the aim120, and we're sure that in time we'll be able to solve the phoenix issues together with them
- The EIG is the digital engine tapes for the B, which currently has the analog tapes of the A. After the release of the A, we will swap these instruments for the B.
- Bugs are being continuosly worked on, hence we do not mention specific bugs in such updates, such as Jester PSTT, etc..

Okay so we only get THE forrestal which is fine but I’m confused and forgetting what the issue with the AIM-54 is whether is it flight model related of that is to over powered

Same air to air loadout as the 15C. RB have said you will be able to operate with 2 people in the aircraft. There will be no AI WSO as its technically not needed.
But there will I mean what if you want to play single player and also since dcs jtself has access to heatblurs work a jester type or simple ai could be made
