  1. Thanks again, guys. Tbag, I think I found the manual you were talking about. I think I've got a good primer on tactics. Now I'm just learning to hover! :D
  2. Thanks guys! Looks like I'll be busy for a while. I spent a while last night trying to find some information about basic attack helicopter tactics. Definitely ran into a brick wall. Anyone have any links? There are tons of maneuvers and principles for fixed-wing combat. I'm suspecting there is an equivalent for helicopter combat. I found this: http://realandsimulatedwars.yolasite.com/dcs-black-shark-tactics-primer.php anyone have any further info?
  3. Thanks, Tommy I'll give them a shot.
  4. I've been flying sims since Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe came out. I've spent way too many hours of my life playing around with these things. I haven't flown a helicopter sim since GUNSHIP 2000 (read: early 90s), and I was like 9 or 10 years old then. I'm pretty used to complicated sims, but I think its the mechanics of flight with a helicopter that are really throwing me for a loop. Back in Gunship, it was basically up and down, left and right. So, obviously flying an accurately modeled helicopter is freaking me out. I'm brand new to this community, but not new to simming in general. I know that in many other sims I play, the communities are amazingly supportive. I'm wondering if there are any squads or individuals out there that enjoy training newbies. I'll be a quick learner because I'm familiar with flight sims, I just really need someone to show me the ropes rather than just following along with a manual or going through the in-game training. Any advice?
