  1. "Signal Enhancements" in Windows Vista located at: Playback Devices - Speakers(Creative SB Audigy) Properties - Advanced Tab - Signal Enhancements. Attached is my "Error.log" with "Signal Enhancements" enabled and sound not working in the sim. It should be noted that I do not experience this problem with any other game or application. 2. Aha! It wasn't what you suggested, but you pointed me in the right direction. By disabling "Signal Enhancements" on my audio device I can now hear sound in the sim. :) Thanks for helping and pointing me in the right direction, Mastiff.
  3. I just tried setting that volume slider all the way down, in the middle, and all the way up. It didn't make any difference, I still couldn't hear anything in the sim. I also played around with all of the volume sliders a few times and still nothing in the sim. They work fine controlling the GUI/Music volumes in the launcher.
  4. After installing the 1.02 patch for BlackShark I do not hear any sounds at all in the simulator. I hear sounds and music just fine in the launcher. I could hear everything just fine in 1.0, and 1.01c. I first installed the 1.02 patch over 1.01c, but when I had no sound I fully uninstalled BlackShark and made a fresh install to 1.0. I then applied the 1.02 patch directly to the fresh install and still have no sound in the sim. I have made no modifications or alterations to the game, I can fly around and everything else is just fine. 5. They probably focus mainly on contracts making simulators for militarys; with DCS as an "in-between" project to publicly showcase their capabilities. DCS may not require as much development resources as you might think, they probably take a lot of the software methods and code they developed for military purposes and quickly implement them into DCS. Just a guess though, from the perspective of someone in the software development industry. ;)
  6. On our way back to land at the airbase from a mission, my wingman suddenly spazzed out repeatedly saying "Two, rejoin" over and over while flickering all of his navigation lights at super-speed and slowing his heli down to about 110km/h. He repeated "Two, rejoin" untill about 30 seconds after I attempted to send the radio message "Flight rejoin". He continued to flicker his navigation lighting and hold 110km/h speed untill I touched down at the airbase, at which point he seemed to correct himself and accellerate towards the airbase for landing. Upon reaching the airbase he initiated normal landing procedures, except before he even attempted to land he just shut his heli off and bounced unrealistically off the ground a few times before simply exploding a few meters above the ground. Attached the track of this. The mission was the one where you have to assault rebels that have taken over the town of Gundelen from the "Deployment" campaign. ( Excuse my poor piloting skills in the Ka-50, I just started playing and have less than 10 hours flight time :P ) Exact mission time my wingman "broke": 10:33:45 I thought maybe he ran out of fuel, as we were starting to run low, but he should have said something about that, right? I would think he still should have had enough fuel left to land, or atleast be able to perform a forced landing? Either way, his activity with his radio messages and navigation lights is clearly a bug, and his sudden decision to shut down just before landing and then bounce around before exploding is truely bizarre.
