Stacker Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I'm pretty certain I had this working before but when I create a mission I can no longer control/move infantry around. I tried this simple test - Create new mission - Add a UH-1H, cold start (or any other flyable aircraft) - Add a infantry unit - Select 'Player can control' from the battlefield menu - Start the flight, switch to F10 and select the infantry. I see the little '>' arrow next to the unit details but I don't see the second window where you can set the Target point etc.. If I create an infantry unit using script, set the 'PlayerCanDrive' attribute to 'True' and then use the F10 map I can then set their target etc.. It seems that infantry units created via the miz editor can't be moved/controlled. I've attached my test mission to demonstrate. Any ideas?CATest.miz i7-4790K@4.7GHz : EVGA 1070 SC : 16GB Corsair Vengence Pro : 2xEVO 840 SSD : EVGA 850W PSU : CORSAIR H100i Cooler : ASUS Z97-AR MB : CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D FULL TOWER
Stacker Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Just discovered, if I hold the Left Shift key down and then click around the screen using Left Mouse button, I can set waypoints. If I then press the Right Mouse button the units will accept that path. I suspect there's something wrong with the GUI - look at this screen shot. You can see that I don't have the 'Waypoint' box available (even though I click the '>' button several times). i7-4790K@4.7GHz : EVGA 1070 SC : 16GB Corsair Vengence Pro : 2xEVO 840 SSD : EVGA 850W PSU : CORSAIR H100i Cooler : ASUS Z97-AR MB : CORSAIR OBSIDIAN 750D FULL TOWER
jbrking Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Confirmed Just discovered, if I hold the Left Shift key down and then click around the screen using Left Mouse button, I can set waypoints. You can see that I don't have the 'Waypoint' box available (even though I click the '>' button several times). I also have this problem and its quite annoying. I have found that I could move and task USA infantry groups as normal but not Russian. I thought this might have had something to do with the infantry type so I tried all types of infantry on the Russian and side but I still cannot move these infantry groups. Might be worth trying in 1.2.7 to see what happens and then reporting to make sure it actually gets fixed this time. *edit* Tying the method of holding shift and left/right clicking works fine on groups that are missing GUI for the GC.
