Refer to the images in the spoiler below.

Red circle adjusts OVN-1 NVG brightness.

Blue circle adjusts the Shkval TV brightness. (with contrast immediately to the right, behind stick)

Green circle on the right adjusts the ABRIS screen brightness.

White circle switch to black to reduce bloom on Shkval.

Yellow circle in second image to improve cockpit visibility with NVG on.

Magenta circle in second image adjusts brightness of NVG cockpit lighting.

Cyan circle in third image to adjust HUD brightness.

For good visibility you will need to adjust all of these things. If you play around with the brightness and contrast enough on the Shkval, you will even be able to identify (but not lock) targets at night with it, as in the fourth image. For best night visibility, point the camera at something, max the Shkval contrast, then adjust the brightness until it looks best. This basically performs a contrast stretching on the details in the scene. In real life this would also significantly amplify any noise in the image, but the DCS Shkval is perfectly noiseless.
