Panzertard Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) "FET REQ(??) - sorry must have been drunk. Should read "FEAT REQ" Problem: Time fast-forward 3-4x time might cause the client-flight to become misaligned with targetting data, global position and more. Result may be that the track cause a crash for the flight - even though this doesnt happen in the original event. This is especially clear in tracks and playback happening in valleys - which include high wind, fast moving host, and fast-forward (3-5x) for shorter periods. Possible cause: The tracker records inputs and parameters taking place in the flight - but might miss some critical parameters to be able to maintain correct absolute position(ing) and target(ing) data. Possible fix: Include a "absolute position" (inc X,Y,Z position, motion, direction etc) update in the recording every 1-2 second - so it's not possible for the playback to get too far off the original position. ----------------------- Additional features that may be benefitials with long tracks: * Ability to "skip to time" * Rewind (1-10x) and Rewind Nn-minutes. Panzertard Posted June 14, 2009 Author Posted June 14, 2009 Additional requests View "Return to original host-view" Ability to "return to original view" - If you happened to use F2 or other viewcommands to step out of the original track's view - you can't get back into the hosts view anymore, and follow TrackIR motions etc. This would allow anyone to use F2, F3 etc for short periods - and then return to the view commandeered by the original host. Playback progress bar A bar that indicates how far in the playback the viewer is. Global Chat recording and playback Record and playback the text coming from global chat or allied chat and display it on screen just as the same way you see when you are online.
