sondo214 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I noticed that when you engage the autopilot in level flight mode, which is supposed to place the heli wings level and not to change heading over time, it does not. If you have the patience to wait a bit you will notice that it will drift to the right every time. Or you can accelerate the time a bit and you will notice it instantly. I belive it's the autopilot's issue because the compass does not drift, so it shall not be a gyro compass drift. Can we fix this?

Ofc it is not related to the compass as the autopilot is not an actual system on board of the Huey. It is just a "cheat" that "simulates" the manual flying of the pilot - usually just for the case when you swap your position to co-pilot or door gunners. Maybe it is just side wind? Anyways, I don't think it is a big issue. I bet, the AP flies straight and level better than you and me ... :o)

At least i would gain some extra torque...
