edmunster Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hi, Like others here I've noticed certain commands no longer being recognised in the game. I forced a new copy of my saved games folder, but still couldn't get these commands to work. I tried remapping a couple of commands to troubleshoot, and seems to have found a new problem no-one else has mentioned. When remapping a command in options DCS picks from a list of keys, on my install this list includes "kanji" "AT" "PREV" etc. these "keys appear when i press the "+=", "'@" and "¬`" keys on my keyboard. I have tried exchanging my ps2 media keyboard which used to work fine for a standard 106 key type and rebooting with no change. I've tried a repair of DCS, it almost seems like DCS has detected my keyboard language wrong, of course it all works correctly outside the game. Most other keys work fine, commands using the problem keys are ignored and there's no way to remap them to the correct ones as regardless of what key you press it's not possible to generate a += for example! I've also tried unplugging my x52 and trackir and making sure the programs for them are not running. So no DCS for me till it's fixed... any ideas greatly appreciated, Thanks! After stealing and testing with a usb keyboard it seems the problem is with ps/2 keyboards, my original one was a ps/2 "media" type and the other was a standard 106 key ps/2. I don't really want to buy a new keyboard, - it was fine before 1.27 - but i do like the new feature of reassigning on the fly. Any one recommend a good one? The only "media" keys i ever use are the volume... Thanks,
