I just shut down my gaming machine so I cannot recall which gauge it is, but one gauge (Fuel pressure, I think) is mounted 90 degrees counterclockwise from the way it should be. At least, it was this morning.

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

Some gauges are oriented that way in the real chopper as well. IIRC there's an old thread about it already, search and you will find :)

The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

Thanks for the photo.

In the German army's UH-1D this is even more clear to see:

Most engine gauges has been rotated very much like this.

This has been done because most of the gauges are standard gauges.

They have been rotatet to make all the needles point in the same direction when in the normal range i.e on the German ones as long as all engine gauge neeedles are pointing to the 9 o'clock position everything is Ok.

The pilot(s) does not need to make real readings, they can quickly glance at the cluctser of gauges and assure that everything is Ok.
