Newbie Simmer Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I dont get the beep when the game starts. Is x360ce compatible with LOMAC FC2? Any ways to make it work? Thanks
EtherealN Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 What is X360ce? Do you mean the Xbox 360 emulator? If so, no, FC2 is developled for the Windows PC platform. It cannot be run on an Xbox 360 and therefore not on an emulation thereof either. If you mean something else, please specify. Irregular programming Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) The XBox 360 controller works fine as it's detected as just another joystick by direct X. I have a PS3 controller attached to my computer through 360 emulation and it's detected by the keymapper. I have however never gotten x360ce to work with any game at all, so I can't really help you there. (I was thinking DCS world but the premise should be the same, the 360 controller is just a game controller in windows just like any other peripheral.) Edited April 11, 2014 by Irregular programming
EtherealN Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Ahah, some googling helped a bit here: x360ce emulates an Xbox controller interface and translates it for Windows, as opposed to emulating the entire box (to run asctual xbox games on the PC)? Then it starts to make sense. :P Thanks Irregular, that pushed me the right way, I had misunderstood what x360ce was. I think the issue is that some controllers are actually not understood by DirectX. For example, my old (and for years disused) xBox 360, purchased just as they were released, came with those first wireless controllers that also had the USB charger thingie - and those do not get detected by Windows as anything other than an "unknown USB device". If I understand this correctly, this thing can make those controllers function. Unfortunately though, I have no clue how to make it cooperate with FC2. Newbie Simmer Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Irregular Programming : What emulator are you using? My generic gamepad's is going to take forever to setup the controls. So perhaps a ready-made controller profile may be of help. Can someone please upload it as an attachment. I am pretty lost with the controls. x360ce works fine with other games but nothing on FC2. Thanks Edited April 11, 2014 by Newbie Simmer
Irregular programming Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'm using this method. http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=59385385 It's only afaik only applicable to ps3 controllers. And as I said, I don't know how FC2 works. I can't really help you with setting it up as I've never actually used the controller in game. Except for one time when I forgot to disable it and got a bunch of input from it. :P
