Hi All,

First post here. I've recently started playing DCS, starting with just the SU25 for now. A friend dug out an old TrackIR 2 and gave it to me to try, however it's not directly supported any longer with latest Naturalpoint drivers.

I found this thread:

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/537786-TrackIR-1or2-driver-Win7-64-bit-Forums

Which detailed how to get it working in my OS. I had found another thread while browsing (sorry, can't find it now), but essentially it was the same, save for it recommended using the 4.1.030 final B for drivers. Essentially what I did was this:

1. Disabled driver signing checks - rebooted.

2. Installed just the driver portion of the 4.1.030 final B package.

3. Installed the 3.13 program software. - rebooted.

(When I installed both programs, I executed as admin)

Now, I can run the 3.13 gui (I get a key error if not starting as admin, so I start as admin). The unit is on and I can verify it tracking the reflective sticker on my hat.

The problem is that DCS does not pick it up in the control menu, so it's unusable inside the game. I'm not sure whether this is an interface problem (ie: the trackir portion is the problem) or whether DCS just no longer can even recognize it because things have changed so much. So far on the DCS side I've tried starting it as admin, deleting the contents of the aircraft input folder and running a repair from the DCS program folder.

If you currently are using a TrackIR 2 in windows 7 64bit successfully, I'd appreciate any info/checks/suggestions you can make to see if I can get this working.

Thanks in advance!
