OB1 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Just a quickie, does anyone know if the manoeuvring capabilities between the R-27R and ER have been modelled in game ? Or is the ER modelled the same just with extra range ? Getting to the point of, is it worth carrying plain R's at all ?
GGTharos Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Both the R and ER are 24g airframes. Their maneuvering capability is the same. For whatever reason, RuAF seems to train with the R's for air to air ... we don't really know why, though you might make some educated guesses by considering the weight and drag of the ER. The R may also have superior close range performance. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
OB1 Posted June 28, 2014 Author Posted June 28, 2014 Do you know if the R is modeled to have better close range performance in game ?
GGTharos Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I don't know. But given that the mass and acceleration from the rocket is modeled right, I'd expect that to work out the same way. OB1 Posted June 28, 2014 Author Posted June 28, 2014 Cheers, with that information I'll assume it does. Might start loading up on atleast two.
