ShuRugal Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 So, about a month before Steam stopped accepting license codes for DCS products purchased from the ED store, I had bought a copy of MI-8. I had installed it and been running it on DCS no trouble. A few weeks later, I was forced to switch to the Steam install because the standalone install had developed some instability issues in MP which I was unable to solve, and switching to Steam resolved them. I have been able to activate all of my License codes except for MI-8. I have opened a ticket with ED, and they informed me that my code was sent to Steam for merge before the cutoff date. I opened a ticket with Valve on the Steam Support site, and they have been giving me a hard way to go for over a month now. I was just looking in my registry, and I saw that my CD key is still installed and activated for MI-8. So, I was wondering if there is any way I can manually install the files? I tried running the standalone installer, but it refuses to detect my DCS install.
Flagrum Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 No. The Steam server(s) must accept the key - it is now on their end.
