I have an amd 1090t procesor with amd 6970 graphic card. I get about 30 fps on medium to high settings while in flight. But i have huge spikes down to 15/10 when i look at some airfields. I do not know what is so wrong there but it happens.

My question is, would upgrading my cpu to 8350 (its supported by my current mb) help me in any way? I have read few reviews and it says that its only about 20% better than my current cpu.. But dcs is so specific game that it could help anyway.

The strange thing is that i have no problems in other games, only dcs has issues.

Do, or do not, there is no try.

DCS doesn't use more than two cores, and one is dedicated to the sound, so the load is up to only one core. I don't think you would benefit by switching to a 8350.I'm in your same situation and I decided to switch to Intel i7-4790k (I'll have to change the motherboard, too). Intel has much more juice than AMD and, compared to a 1090t or a 8350, there is no challenge and you can benefit more than 10-15% added fps.

So maybe its better to wait for 1.30 when edge will hit to see if the multithread will get better and if buying new graphic card would do more work.
