jlan5031 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I'm new to DCS. I spent a week getting familiar with TF-P51 "easy and real" versions. I made adjustments to the pitch and roll and applied them to my Logtek Extreme 3D Pro joy stick: Pitch=Joy_Y and Roll=JoyX. They worked fine. Yesterday I purchased and downloaded the DCS P-51D. and made the same adjustments. They worked fine the first time taking off and landing. The second time, the pitch worked as usual, but the ailerons no longer worked. The ailerons continue to work in both TF-P51 modes, "easy" and "real." But the ailerons in both P-51Ds just flutter when I move the stick to the roll position. All four P-51 models have the same adjustments in the "axis controls" window. I've tried reinstalling, and readjusting, without success. I've checked to see if there are conflicting settings in all the adjustment windows and seen nothing. Yesterday I spent a couple of hours here searching, unsuccessfully, for a solution. Any solutions or ideas out there?
piXel496 Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Hi jlan5031 welcome to the forum, Your problem is difficult to replicate and a wild guess is your ailerons get a double input somehow and flutter. Never the less maybe the next helps to iron out inconsistancy. If your joystick functions consistently outside DCS. You could try if the following works. It just copies the identical settings to a different airplane within DCS. In DCS go to options/controls/select the working plane and difficulty. select a field from your joystick in this menu. then in the upper part you can save the profile. Go to the other not properly working airplane settings and load the profile. this can be done with throttle and keyboard aswell. :) . old stuff I made
jlan5031 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 piXel496, Thank you for your reply and suggestion. Alas, it didn't work. I've searched each of the categories in all of the in all the adjustment lists without finding any using JOY_X. Is there any other place to look? jlan
jlan5031 Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 I never figured out what the problem was. The solution was uninstall and reinstall DCS World and the P-50. That solved the problem.
