Exorcet Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) I've been trying for the past two open beta updates to fly the PFM Flanker, but I am stuck with SFM. No roll coupling with yaw, scripted stall/cobra, completely static aircraft on load (unlike F-15 which bounces on suspension). Video 1 (stall) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2223411&postcount=57 Video 2 (lots of stuff) http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2223430&postcount=60 Attempted solutions: Delete input folder Reinstall FC3 Repair open beta (with and without FC3) Reinstall open beta Delete old "aircrafts" folder Check game/sim mode setting Look at Su-27 flight model files I'm stuck with the old model and not really sure what else I can do. Is it possible that the problem is not on my end? EDIT 1 Looking at the DataSu27 folder again it looks like that might be animations and not related to the flight model, but I don't know. The FMOptionsSu27.lua is a lot shorter than the config file in the F15 folder. Does any one else (with PFM) have a different file structure? I'm not even completely sure what these files are, just taking a best guess. GGTharos Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Are you certain your game isn't installed in some other folder? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Exorcet Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Going to the launcher in the OB folder and launching from there leads to the same result. GGTharos Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Can you try installing into a path where you are guaranteed to have full access, rather than in Program Files? Can you delete the DCS saved games folder, or, just move it (change the name)? Exorcet Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 OK I installed OB to documents instead of program files and that did it, the plane is flying properly now. GGTharos Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 No problem - it sounds like there was a permission issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
