su 33 air refueling question

Hi,

 

Do you know how to change the refueling port of IL 78 Tanker.

 

When I try to refuel in my HUD is always port 2, but when I make contact the tanker give me the most left port ( I assume port 1).

 

I have watch some videos and there the pilot change this port.

I'm not sure if this can be done sir.

 

The only time I have been to the right side (port 2 as you call it) is when I am refuelling with a Wingman who is already connecting / connected to the Left side.

 

AFAIK if you are solo you will always connect to the left side.

As far as I see there are 3 ports on IL 78 Tanker.

 

1 - on left wing

2 - on center

3 - on right wing

 

When I open the refueling boom, by default on HUD i s 2 ДЗП.

And navigation ring on the HUD keeps me aligned with the center port.

But the airtanker give me the left port, so I can not use the navigation ring properly.

 

When I watch these videos on youtube

 

 

They are able to switch between ports. First guy use port 1 (left wing). The second use port 3 (right wing).

 

So i wander how they toggle between ports (key combination)?

LCTRL+~, though it should not matter, as there is no directional ring for this mode IRL and it should be removed.
