Kurfürst Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hi, The 3d model of the flight stick in the K-4 is incorrect. The cocpit model shows a straight stick, however the actual one in the 109K-4 had a curve at the bottom, to facilitate the service & removal of the MK 108. See attachment for the correct shape from 109K Flugzeughandbuch http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/archiv/Dokumente/ABC/m/Messerschmitt/Me%20109/Me%20109%20K-4%20Teil%201-5.pdf http://www.kurfurst.org - The Messerschmitt Bf 109 Performance Resource Site Vezérünk a bátorság, Kísérőnk a szerencse! -Motto of the RHAF 101st 'Puma' Home Air Defense Fighter Regiment The Answer to the Ultimate Question of the K-4, the Universe, and Everything: Powerloading 550 HP / ton, 1593 having been made up to 31th March 1945, 314 K-4s were being operated in frontline service on 31 January 1945.
Random Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 IIRC this was noticed when the 1st cockpit images were shown... A pity it wasn't corrected back then!
SilentGun Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 There using the fw190 stick. I guess there using it as a place holder.
