Treudd Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Hello, I'm going to build a real hud as described in this thread (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=89974) and I'm going to buy materials for the hud (teleprompter screen/mirror and front surface mirrors). What I need is to understand the real size of the HUD in the real aircrafts, primparily I fly the A-10, F-15 and Su-27 but also upcoming fighters, for example the F/A-18. So I need to make the hud screen as similar as the real ones but also giving me flexbility to use it for different aircrafts. So, does anyone know the sizes of the REAL hud screens as in the REAL aircraft? I understand exporting the HUD using LUA is quite simple, but does it apply only to A-10C or is it the same as for the F-15 and Su-27? I'm thinking about ordering the mirrors and screens needed from the following companies (It seems to be the same company): http://firstsurfacemirror.com/ http://www.telepromptermirror.com/ It seems I also need a fresnel lens, can anyone tell me about the properties of this fresnel lens? I've found a fresnel lens, but I'm not sure it is what I need: http://www.carson.com/magnifiers/sheet-and-bar/1365-dm-21 Thanks in advance [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
