[FIXED INTERNAL] A-A MISSILE PERFORMANCE

Hi Leatherneck Dev's,

I have been reading a lot about russian missiles that were used on the MiG-21bis. My conclusion is that a couple of the missiles has to be tweaked not only for realism, but for a better gameplay experience overall.

R-3R. Way way, to short of a range as is. I know that a range of 17km is unlikely, but

the range now is like 5km max to get the ready lights and score a hit. Should be closer to 10km for a semi-active radar guided missile.

Further performance of these missiles should also be tweaked.

R-13M1

R-13M

Seeker should be able to track targets at 40 degrees. Close to R-60/R-60M, but not as manoeuvrable. Seems right as the R-13M1 and the R-60 was introduced roughly at the same time. The range should (again) also be improved a bit. Way better than the over-performing R-3S.

R-60(A) should have a lot more smoke! At least as much as the Eagle Dynamics R-60M. Source: video of live fireing on: http://www.roaf.ro/en/video_en.php

You have introduced many new A-A missiles with the MiG-21bis, so It would be great to actually have them behave as they should. Right now, there is not a lot of difference if I shoot an R-13M/M1 or an R-3S from 1962. Just my point of view...

Other than that.. Thanks again for a great module! Really love to fly your well made 21.

I hope to see a fix in a future patch.

I have a source here:

http://www.zgjunshi.com/world/daodan/kongkong/200902/20090212100837.html

最大射程(Max range): 4.6km(Р-3) 7.6km(Р-3С) 7km(Р-13Р) 15km(Р-13М/М1)

最小射程(Min range): 1200m(Р-3С) 1000m(Р-13Р) 300~600m(Р-13М/М1)

最大速度(Max Speed): M2.5(Р-13М/М1)

使用高度(Max operation alt.): 21000m

最大过载(Max G): 10~11g

……

In DCS, I use tacview find that the max speed of R-3R is 3.5M and the max G is 18g.
