Mykk001
Snag as follows: 5 miles finals to Senaki RW 09 at 1500ft QFE. I should be intercepting the GP at this stage for a 3 degree GP. Image 1. ILS set for Senaki RW 09 (108.9) and switched on. TACAN 31X on. Image 2. TACAN selected on NMSP. Needles stowed. Image 3. TACAN de-selected, ILS selected and needles enabled but both localiser and glide path shown as inoperative. What am I doing wrong?
Hansolo
Now I admit that I am not fully sure but it looks like your ILS is not turned ON. When I look at the line to OFF it seems like arrow indication covers some of line thus in OFF position. Picture is "Freq". Mykk001
DuH!!!!!!! I assumed that when I could see the long white mark on the ILS on/off switch it was on. Zooming in to the max I see I was in error. Thanks for that. All now working as advertised. Gratefully Mykk
ptako
Anyway you should listen to TACAN and/or ILS morse codes to make sure they're on and that you're tuned to intended source. It would solve your problem in this case. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] -- "The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good shit. Mykk001
Yes, you're right of course had I listened for the ident or registered that there wasn't one I should have twigged what my mistake was. All well that ends well Mykk
