I have a lot of old iOS devices. An old iPad, couple of old iPhones, and probably three or more iPod Touches. Curious to know if anyone has used, or even thought about, any ways to incorporate them into the pit?

Yes, I have and have used iControl DCS, iWarthogHD, yawc, and tapCheck. (Which in my opinion is brilliant, but underutilized and not often talked about.) I was thinking more on the lines of the smaller devices, though, and if they could be used somehow and where. I just got my 4" monitor working for the CDU, so that's taken care of.

Is there any way to perhaps put and keep the moving map on one? Or perhaps a permanent display of the radio communications menu? I think that would be pretty cool to just be able to touch it and not have to keep going to the keyboard and scroll through menu choices just to have ground power hooked up or whatever.

Anyway, no big deal, just thinking out loud if anyone has successfully used an old device in this fashion.

Buttons aren't toys! :smilewink:
