otscay Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Hello Everybody! New guy here. Just came on board. I have a fun story to tell you all. In December 2014 I purchased a HOTAS WARTHOG setup. I thought I was just buying a great set of controls and set out to buy some Helis/Jets air games. You have to remember that in my silly mind Simulators/Games what's the difference? Well I now know the difference after 5 weeks for several hours a day and 400 plus pages of learning material, axis settings, switch assignments, keyboard assignments, J-Curves, S-Curves I could go on and on. I'm sure you all went through it and can feel my mental pain:book:. I really did not know that I was going to actually be learning how to fly A-10C Warthogs. Don't get me wrong here I am enjoying every minute of it. I think I'm actually growing new brain cells while attending virtual flight school:joystick:. My actual question is, how do I get the original DCS default key /switch assignments back for the modules? I took all of mine out when I first started down education lane. I thought just downloading the modules again would do the trick but it doesn't. Thanks In Advance for putting up with my long winded story:doh:.
ARM505 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 IIRC, in the folder: C:\Users\your name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input You will find all the input .lua files for each separate aircraft. Just delete (or backup or move) the files and the sim should rebuild a default one for you when you run it again. I THINK. It's been a while since I read about this. That's why it's a good idea to back up the file. You may even be able to move the whole folder and a new one should be built. I can't remember. Have a go (backup!) And welcome to the world of sims vs games.
