I'm afraid I can't provide much in the way of info here, but I have been hosting sessions for 3 of us in DCS World over the last few weeks, and in prior sessions we had a single crash at my end. We thought it was down to the beta Hawk, but it may not have been.

Last night, though, I had 3 crashes to GUI. The mission is one that I wrote myself, and is very basic - three of a number of different aircraft based at Kobuleti, with a large number of targets nearby, most stationary, some with moving vehicles. I also have a FARP just west of Kobuleti.

The moving trucks complete their route, so they are not the cause. We have the A-10C, MiG-21bis, Hawk, Su-25, A-10A and all the helicopters available to fly by clients and no AI aircraft.

Last night, I had added ammo and fuel facilities to the FARP, but also an extra 40 AI armoured ground units (stationary, for target practice) plus a stationary Zu-23.

Also, two of the original units were set as 3 platoons of T-55 and BMP-3, that were supposed to move across a field, but actually only one single vehicle of each appears, and they don't move.

My internet connection to DCS is solid and fast and my PC is well up to the job and running Win7.1 H64. The crashes do seem to happen when I do something at my end in my aircraft. I'm using the HOTAS Warthog, and all but one of the crashes came straight after I had pushed a button/control (not the same one each time), but that may be coincidental.

I mention all of the units, in case any are known to cause problems in multiplayer - otherwise I'll have to try and get some logs to look at - not that I'll know what they are telling me!

TiA for any suggestions.

I forgot to mention that when it crashed each time the other players were able to continue their missions, despite me being the host - it was only mine that stopped with a "DCS has stopped working" message in 3 cases and a simple complete freeze of my sim in the fourth case.

It was only after I closed DCS World that the others were unable to continue.

I had only just done a complete reinstall of DCS World and the modules. Mind you - I had activated a number of mods on my own install and though they should only affect what I see - I'll start there and disable them :)

Just to keep this updated, I hosted for 3 players last night and we flew for over 90 minutes before a crash.

Was a different mission (an STP Dragon mission) and I was changing F2 views at the instant it crashed. That is something common with these crashes.

Now I'll try a remote host and see what happens. :pilotfly:

I'm now using a separate PC for a remote host and so far no crashes - so it was probably a mod on my installation causing it.

Any mods looking in - no problem with you deleting this thread :)
