Hi.

I'm trying to put together a showreel for the A-10C, with video from different angles/views cut together, and I've noticed that as I use the Record AVI feature (and even in regular Replay), sometimes the plane is "off".

For example, I've set up a clip where I taxi to the runway. Three of the angles are fine (dead center on the white line down the taxiway), then on the fourth recording, the plane is off to the right by about a meter.

No big deal, right? Yes, big deal! When I make the 45deg left turn towards the runway, the turn is too early, the left main landing gear goes off the tarmac and now the plane gets stuck instead of getting on the runway.

Now comes the real problem: I'm trying to film a landing. I've set the Record AVI to start 50 minutes into the flight. This means I have to wait 12 minutes at the load-screen to allow DCS to catch up, only to see that while my plane is lined up with the runway, it decides to land in the side of a house about 1-2km short of the runway! Abort recording, wait another 12 minutes, try again!

Is this a known issue? Any tips on how to minimize the chance of this happening?

When this happens, I tend to completely exit DCS, start it up again and try again. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

UPDATE:

Uninstalled the Steam-version of DCS World, installed the "offline" version, flew the mission again, saved the track, ZERO issues!

So this is another Steam-only problem. I've added all my aircraft to my eagle.ru account and I'm fine with that. At least now everything is working as intended! :)
