Joystick and Pedals set-up

Hello everyone,

I just installed DCS World to check it out. :pilotfly:

 

I'm trying to set-up my Thrustmaster T-Flight stick and the Pro Flight Rudder Pedals.

 

The game recognized both devices immediately. However I am having trouble assigning buttons to various functions. Is there a way to select the function and press the button from the stick to assign it?

 

Also, the Pedals have the toe breaking function. Can this somehow be assigned to the breaking function (key W)?

Yes, that's how the options menu works. Find the row of the function you want to assign, double-click it in the column of the input device you want to use, then click the button / move the axis you want.

Look in the "Axis Assignments" (or was it "Axis Commands"?) category, there should be entriees for left and right toe brake. For the Pro Flight pedals, you will also have to click the "Axis Tune" button at the bottom and invert the axis with the checkbox provided.

Thanks a lot, I was using the drop down list, I hadn't realized I could just push the button!:thumbup:

 

Also, I did find the break commands in the the P-51 and the rudder worked.

 

But, for the Su-25 (which I was trying out) the rudder break doesn't work...

 

(there is not left or right, only one button (W) for breaking)

The Su-25 doesn't have left/right wheel brakes IRL. Also, in the past FC3 planes have used "digital" wheel brakes (i.e on/off) that wasn't assignable under axis control. Don't know if this is still the case though since I rarely fly the FC3 birds.
