Sukhoi25 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Hi guys, i know that there are some mods that permit to fly all helicopters from DCS by using the cockpit of the Kamov Ka-50 BlackShark but now here's the problem... Thanks to Willys i learned how to mod some aircrafts with arms they don't really carry (see SU-25T with AIM-9P) and now i wanted to embark the AIM-9M onto the AH-1W SuperCobra, like ti does it for real... But the only option i know to shoot AA infrared missiles is by using the SU-25T cockpit... Is there a line to add to the readme text of the Flyable choppers or something like that? Anyone can help me please to integrate these lines? Thank you very much! :) Greets Bye, SU AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz, GIGABYTE (AMD) Radeon R9 280X Series @ 3GB Video, ATI Radeon / Realtek HD SoundCard, GIGABYTE FX-990GAUD Motherboard, Samsung 840EVO SSD @ 120GB, WD Caviar Blue @ 1TB
willys Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) I'd guess the reason nobody has answered this so far is that it's not possible. To be perfectly honest I don't think it should be possible. DCS is a fantastic simulator, they made entry level aircraft free like the Su-25T & TF-51 and I find that is both admirable and good business sense. The Su-25T is still a fantastic simulation some 10 years after many of us rushed out and bought it in the flaming cliffs add-on for Lomac. In fact since responding to your request for help about adding missiles to the Su-25T, I have found myself flying it more than ever and getting much pleasure from it. So back on topic. Like I said in a word no, no it's not possible. You would need the Ka-50 addon for such a mod to work. In fact I've tried the mods you mention and for me they don't meet the standards I now expect from DCS, but that's just me. I'd really like you to be able to come to your own conclusion on that. As it happens, by pure luck more than good judgement, I can help you :) I found out the other day when doing a full install that by accident I had bought the DCS black shark 2 module TWICE ! I double checked and sure enough I have two separate DCS Ka-50's. My mistake, no worries. Since I did this a few years ago and just happened to find out right when you posted this request for help, I figured it must have your name on it. So I checked with ED and they tell me it's a simple matter to transfer as a gift. So I'm offering it to you. All you need to do is provide me with your DCS World username, not your username for this forum, if you don't have one get one. And I'll do the transfer straight away. willys Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 No worries, your welcome :) That's it now bound to your account and you should be able to get access to it in DCS World. Let us know how you go, happy flying :)
