Impact1979 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 hi guys I got a issue with Ka50 and the auto update. first of all I downloaded the new dcs world and installed with no issues. then done auto update which seemed to work fine. that puts me at 1.2.15.37241 then I installed my modules one by one. got as far as KA50 which is a upgrade from DCS Blackshark 1. first it said I have to have it installed and registered which it already was so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. then put the code in and loaded it up fine. then tried the KA50 Module again and the error I get now is DCS World 1.2.15.27241 must be installed. I have checked it over several times and even copy and pasted the main game folder into a new area but I get the same message over and over. so I figure I would try update again. and instead I get cant run f:\eagle dynamics\dcs world\bin\bin/launcher.exe: (2) the system cannot find the file specified. I have completely wiped the game out of my system and restarted and im getting the same thing. anyone got any ideas? ps I have tried running as admin also. and even created a folder called bin inside bin and pasting the launcher.exe in there but it threw up a new error . thanks
DirtyWing Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Did you try the solution of BIGNEWY?: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2345147&postcount=2
NeilWillis Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 If you have all your modules serial numbers registered against your log in ID, then when you reinstall, you ought to get a message that asks if you want to install all your modules once you enter the module manager. The way to set up the serial numbers with your user log in is to go to the DCS website, and go to the licencing page in the personal section. Just copy and paste the missing serial number/s into the box there, and it'll match them to your ED log in, and when you log in on the module manager, it should then pick up all your modules, and automatically install everything. There shouldn't be a need to update immediately after a clean install because you'll get the latest version when you download it.
Impact1979 Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 hi guys thanks for the replys I got it working. I installed dcs world to a new hard drive and then did blackshark first, seems fine now. maybe the program got confused with the upgrade on bs1 the first time as I had it installed but it told me I had to have it installed.
